Plantlets: Keeping Succulents Eternal

Hello Everyone!

I’m going to preface this post with an apology. I love my plants, and I just got a new camera. They are my subjects while I sort out the new technology. As it were, I’m like a Jr. High girl who just discovered boys, or a College Freshman who thinks they are too cool for school in their seedy dorm room. Now I’m the soon to be bride with a new camera. I’ll try to take it easy. Promise.

So here you go, photos. Another apology for playing with the filters and not keeping them consistent.

Here is a story…

This little guy comes from a litter:

This litter:

That grew on the sturdy limbs of this:

Who then creates more:

To grow into this magnificent subject.

Mother Nature presents plantlets. Who wants one?

Imagery

Hi All!

I am so psyched to announce that I now have a big girl camera. Today we welcomed the Canon Rebel EOS T3I into our home. It was a wedding present from my pops, and how timely. Father’s day and I’M the one getting gifts. So spoiled!

Anyways, here are a few photos from the new technology that I wanted to share. Nothing special, just a few images from around the house.

I’m sure you can tell, I love my plants. And even more so, I love succulents! These plantlets are going to turn into tall tree like succulents some day. They’re just babies now but when they’re ready, they’ll head out to friend’s houses. My friends have already put orders in.

Time to take more photos!

Recent Literature

Hey Everyone,

I’ve passed so much time with my kindle since Christmas I thought I’d share a few of the page turners I’ve read.

Currently reading:

I was intrigued an episode of This American Life and the story of Tony in Broadmoore, a hospital for the criminally insane in the UK. He feigned madness to get in a “cushy” hospital in an attempt to avoid a lengthy prison sentence. Now he can’t convince anyone he is sane. I love psychology!
Recently finished Room which is a NY Times Best Seller. I now know why. Must read!
More Psychology: Portia’s memoir outlines her struggle with an both her sexuality and eating disorder. A little vain, but still very interesting.
BOSSYPANTS! I could NOT put this book down. It was like crack. Let’s make the funniest woman in the world rich, buy her book!

Face blindness? That’s a real thing! I heard about this book on NPR (where I get most of my literary reviews) and had to read it. It was very interesting to hear about a very rare facial recognition disorder.
Well, if you like all things psychological and funny this is the list for you.
Happy Reads!
