Touring Washington

This week my husband and I picked up a new addition to the family. We finally got ourselves the Subaru Forester we’ve been drooling over. Fortunately, the weather was nice this weekend so we were able to take it out to Capitol State Forest in Thurston, WA and then over to Steilacoom, WA for some small town tourism. It was wonderful fun, and a great way to break in our new (ok, used) wagon.

We spoke to a few museum curators who advised us of several great day trip options in the area. Our agenda is now full of sights to see and towns to tour.
If you’re ever in the area, Steilacoom is a great little seaside town to visit. We’ll be back again for their Salmon Bake later this year.

Hope you all had an equally adventurous weekend!

  1. Kendra, the Subaru is going EVERYWHERE with us! We've got so many sights to see out here, I'll be sure to share. Twin Peaks fans: stay tuned.

  2. I'm so glad I found you (through Twitter)! I live in SW Washington, but I've been to Steilacoom quite a few times. I love it up there! And I love the new ride…I've been wanting an Outback or Forrester FOREVER!

  3. Stephanie, I'm totally browsing your blog archives as we speak! I'm glad to have found you through Twitter as well. Sometimes their 'follow' recommendations are great!I've only lived in Washington for a month, but I'm definitely loving everything it has to offer. I'm looking forward to following your adventures! Also, we LOVE the forester. We stop and stare at it when we take out the trash or check the mail.
