Here Comes the Sun

Things are looking a bit different around here. After meditating long and hard about the trajectory of my life, I elected to come upon the new horizon single. With that comes some changes, here are a few of the lighthearted ones:
Gone are the old throw pillows, here to stay are the Ikea down pillows. Just what the doctor ordered!
And me thinks I’ll be needing a new couch soon too.
New stockpot to streamline the stove top. I made spaghetti squash this week, it was delicious. I got rid of my microwave too. I hope to never replace it. Cluttered kitchen, no more!
This is the tandem bike of another ex. Even when we were together I was too tall to ride on the back. It got a nice face lift since the last time I saw it. Amazing what a coat of paint and some elbow grease can accomplish. I think I’ll follow suit around my house.
Regardless of what projects I want to take on, I’m trying to spend a lot of time away from the house. My goal in the next few months is to put myself back on the path of continued learning to challenge my perceptions of the world.  I want to go to festivals, film screenings, concerts, museums and restaurants.
This was a great start; I had a great time at Woofstock 2011.
I picked up a new field guide to the North American Prairie. Fifteen year old me had no way of knowing that 25 year old me would pick up books on flora and fauna for fun!
Time to rekindle those long lasting friendships! Tonight Jay and I will be cooking a nice butternut squash lasagna dinner. We’re once again in the same boat…good thing it’s always the fun boat.
The future is bright, folks. Cheers!
